FlexNet driver documentation
ETHER - G8BPQ ethernet encapsulation driver

Description:

This driver allows the direct coupling of computers with an Ethernet interface using the G8BPQ protocol. Only PCs on the same physical segment are reachable. Traffic over routers, bridges or multiport routers is not possible.

ETHER uses a packet driver, which must be loaded before ETHER. This driver uses Ethernet broadcasts and all stations listen, quite analogous to an HF channel. When used with the original multicast address, the packet driver must be set to receive mode #6.

On starting ETHER you need to specify the packet-driver interrupt to use. The interrupt value can be given in decimal or hexadecimal notation, prefixed by '0x'. FlexNet mode parameters are not applicable and are irgnored.

WARNING: DO NOT INSTALL THIS DRIVER ON WINDOWS 95

Command line parameters:
ether <irq>
